Hose Clamps
Hose clamps are used in many applications and selecting the right hose clamp for the job and then correctly fitting and tensioning it is vital. Fuel leak is a common cause of fire in cars and often a poorly fitted, incorrectly tensioned hose clamp is the cause. It is vital that the correct hose clamp for the application is used, correctly fitted and tensioned. Over tightening will damage the hose. The Icon Series Hose Clamps have been developed to exacting standards, offering variety of materials and clamp types for use in a range of applications.
Perforated Hose Clamps
 |
Perforated Hose Clamps are a general use hose clamp and the most common hose clamp used. They are available in part stainless steel where the band is made from 301 stainless for strength and the screw is white zinc plated carbon steel. These clamps are also available in both 301 and 316 full stainless steel commonly used in highly corrosive environments like marine and mining. |
Band Width 8mm covers size range from 6mm to 89mm – Recommended torque 2.1 Nm
Band Width 12.7mm covers size range from 11mm to 178mm – Recommended torque 6 Nm

Fuel Hose Clamps
 |
Fuel Hose Clamps are specifically designed to protect the outer coating of both low and high pressure fuel hose. The difference from a standard perforated hose clamp is it has an extended band liner to protect the fuel hose. |
Band Width 8mm covers size range from 7mm to 12mm – Recommended torque 2.1 Nm

Nut and Bolt Hose Clamps
 |
Nut and Bolt hose clamps have rolled edges to protect the hose. They are a non-perforated band which gives a more even pressure and holds shape as the diameter is reduced. The Nut and Bolt type hose clamp is less likely to be overtightened due to the limited range of travel. Recommended for fuel hose applications to reduce the chances of damage to the hose. |
Band Width 9mm covers size range from 7 to 14mm – Recommended torque 2 Nm
Quick Release Hose Clamps
 |
Quick Release hose clamps allow easy fitment and disengagement. The unique pivot action locking system aids installation in difficult areas. |
Band Width 12.7mm covers size range from 25mm to 313mm – Recommended torque 4 Nm
T-Bolt Clamps
 |
T-Bolt Clamps are designed for heavy duty applications and allow a very high clamping force. Icon T-Bolt clamps come in a range of band widths from 18mm to 26mm. The band is made of 430ss Stainless steel and a carbon steel bolt. |
Band Width 18mm covers size range from 17mm to 29mm- Recommended torque 4.5 Nm
Band Width 20mm covers sizes from 29mm to 46mm – Recommended torque 9 Nm
Band Width 22mm covers sizes from 44mm to 68mm – Recommended torque 9 Nm
Band Width 24mm covers sizes from 65mm to 130mm – Recommended torque 18 Nm
Band Width 26mm covers sizes from 131mm to 304mm – Recommended torque 29 Nm
Spring Loaded T-Bolt Clamps
 |
Spring Loaded T-Bolt Clamps are engineered to provide constant tension under varying environmental conditions providing long term durability. The spring pressure allows tension to be maintained when minor changes in diameter occur. |
Band Width 19mm covers sizes from 63mm to 85mm – Recommended torque 9 Nm
CV Boot Clamp
 |
CV Boot clamps are full high strength 304 stainless steel giving very high resistance to corrosion. Used to secure CV shaft boots. |
Band width is 6.3mm and covers sizes from 130mm to 680mm
Constant Tension Spring Clamps
 |
Constant Tension Spring Clamps suit a variety of applications including coolant and vacuum hoses. While not always loved by mechanics they are very effective, providing an ability to contract and expand with changes in temperature to ensure a constant clamp tension. |
Band Width 12mm and covers sizes 13mm to 51mm.
Double Ear Clamps
 |
Double Ear Clamps provide a larger clamp range than single ear clamps. They are ideal for varying temperature or vibration fitment. To select the correct clamp for the job measure the outside diameter of the hose to be clamped. Select a clamp whose size range is close to the outside diameter. Ideally the outside diameter of the hose to be clamped would fall into the middle of the clamp size range. Using the correct clamping tool like the EQP-020 pictured compress the clamps first ear followed by the second. The clamps ears should not close completely if fitted correctly. |
